Daily Sitter:
A daily caregiver is required, for instance, to cover for your long-term nanny’s PTO, accommodate out-of-town guests at a hotel, manage date nights, etc. A babysitter is accountable for the health and welfare of children when parents are away, including guiding, teaching, supervising, and engaging in activities with the children under their care. Nanny Share:
A caregiver who works with multiple families at one location, hired for either part-time or full-time care, lives outside the home and is intended for long-term employment. In a standard nanny share arrangement, two or more families hire one nanny and share the cost of the salary. Typically, nannies in a share care for all the children simultaneously and alternate between the families’ homes. However, many families collaborate to create a schedule that meets their unique needs. As both families contribute to the nanny’s salary, the nanny often earns more than they would from a single family.
$25-$35+ per hour (each family pays approximately two-thirds of the nanny’s hourly rate)
