Permanent Nanny:
A caregiver, hired for either part-time or full-time assistance, resides outside the home and is engaged for long-term service. A nanny offers tailored childcare in the parent’s home, providing individualized attention to address the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of the children. The nanny ensures a secure, caring, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the children’s growth and development. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and order in the children’s living spaces, handling their laundry, transporting them to various activities, managing grocery shopping for the children, and organizing their daily schedules. The role may also encompass additional household duties such as cleaning, cooking, general housekeeping, and laundry.

Live-In Nanny:
A caregiver employed for either part-time or full-time care, residing within the home for an extended duration. The role of a live-in nanny encompasses delivering childcare services to a family. Responsibilities can differ based on the specific needs of the employer. Duties often include caring for children, running household errands, and transporting family members to various activities such as school, sports, or appointments.
Separate living quarters must be provided.
$22-$25+ per hour
Daily Sitter:
A daily caregiver is required, for instance, to cover for your long-term nanny’s PTO, accommodate out-of-town guests at a hotel, manage date nights, etc. A babysitter is accountable for the health and welfare of children when parents are away, including guiding, teaching, supervising, and engaging in activities with the children under their care. It is important to note that most babysitters do not possess the professional qualifications of a nanny.
