FAQ’s

Why choose TPN as your referral agency?

Great question!  We have been through it!  Our agency owners are both mom’s and long-term experienced nannies.  We founded our agency over 12 years ago and built a community of amazing nannies. We pride ourselves on being advocates for nannies as well as our families.  We work diligently to secure unique matches and limit the effort for our clients.

Why is a nanny a better option than daycare?

Placing a nanny in your home is definitely a luxury and the price point is an investment that is totally worth it.  You can enjoy a stress-free day knowing your littles are cared for and receiving the one-on-one care of a professional caregiver.  It is an easier transition for everyone in the mornings and afternoons., sickness is kept more at bay and nanny playgroups can offer socialization.

Do you offer a replacement guarantee and when does it go into effect?

Of course!  Depending on the Tier your family chooses we offer a 30-day, 90-day or 180-day guarantee.  This goes into effect on the nannies official start date.

When is the placement fee due?

The placement fee is due once a contract is signed with the nanny of your choice.

How many candidates will I be interviewing?

As many as it takes to find your perfect match!  However, we pride ourselves on a smaller more qualified pool of candidates, so it is typically within the first 5 referrals.

Does TPN have a waitlist?

No waitlist here!  We do recommend as much notice as possible to ensure your family has the best fit for long-term care.  Our suggested time frame is 6-12 weeks.

How do you recruit your nannies?

We use multiple avenues for recruitment: word of mouth, social media, online recruitment sites, etc. We have worked with hundreds of families and thousands of nannies over the years, and we pride ourselves on our reputation.

What much can I expect to pay a nanny?

Our caregivers are professionals and are paid anywhere from $23-$40 an hour depending on the nature of the job, number of children, ages of the children, and experience level of the nanny.

What are your hours of operation?

Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. But we know life is busy, so we can be flexible to schedule client and caregiver consults in the evenings and on the weekends, when needed.

How am I required to pay my nanny?

A nanny is considered a W-2 employee and required to be on a payroll.  We work directly with HomePay and GTM for these needs.

What is the difference between a nanny and a babysitter?

A nanny provides ongoing professional care while a babysitter is casual and sporadic care.
